The "A" word
My sweet innocent little Carter came to me and said a boy outside was saying a naughty word. I asked him what he said and he said the "A" word. So I thought to myself he has no idea what the "A" word is. Then I told him to say the word he said. He said he couldn't cause it was really naughty. I told him to go ahead and he wouldn't get in trouble. He then looked and me and said, "He said Sh@#." I have to admit I laughed. It caught me so off guard. I didn't know he even knew that was a bad word because he never hears it. Anyways after I got thinking about it I kind of got sad. I wish I could keep my babies in a bubble forever. There are so many outside influences in this world and I want my kids to stay as innocent as possible. That night we had a long talk about good words and bad words. Hopefully I don't hear that word out of any of my boys mouth again!
My sister Mandy threw me a PINK baby shower last week. I was so excited for all the pink. After 3 boys I'm just not used to this. It's pretty fun though! I really had nothing as far as girl clothes so it made it extra fun!
Mandy did such a good job on the food. Everything was pink! She had mini pink cupcakes, watermelon, strawberry spinach salad, pink mints, punch, and my personal favorite was the oreo truffles dipped in pink chocolate! I didn't even know they had pink chocolate. She also had delicious tortilla roll-ups!
My cute mother-in-law and sister-in-law Heather and her baby Nathan.
This is Jill. She was my cheer advisor in high school. We have kept in touch ever since. I just love her to death!
My Aunt Marsha, Grandma, Aunt Peggy, and my brother's wife Keri.
This is Erin and RaeAnn Henderson. They are really good friends of ours. I am actually naming our baby's middle name Rae after her. :)
Mandy, me, and Keri. Big thanks to Keri for helping Mandy with the shower.
Thanks Mandy for the amazing shower! I loved every minute! Yay for pink! SOOOOO excited for a baby girl in our family!

KIDNEY STONES
Yes that is right... I said kidney stones. Everything I have ever heard about them, well, it is true. Horrific! I woke up Friday morning and felt like maybe I had a bladder infection or something. I wasn't in too much pain I just felt like I had to pee every second and even after I went I felt no relief. That when on for the weekend and by Sunday night I had a slight ache in my left kidney. I called the doc Monday morning and I headed down the Logan to take a urine test and get on some meds. Before we left I cleaned my house and was in no pain at all. Well by the time I got out of the canyon I started having some pain in that same kidney. I went to the doc and took the test and they said it would take 2 hours to get the results so to call back. After I was done I went to the front desk and told them I was really in a lot of pain and they said they would call in some Peridium while we waited to hear the results. Luckily Andy was with me. We left and I had him run into the Smith's pharmacy to get the meds while I sat in the car with the kids. Well that's when it got really bad. He was in the store maybe 15 min and I thought I was going to die. It was the most severe pain I have ever had. I think the boys didn't know how to react to how their mommy was acting. They were being very silly. They would tap me on the shoulder and both just laugh. They almost acting slap happy. I thought I was going to throw up so I grabbed a zip lock bag full of suckers and dumped the suckers so I had something to throw up in. The twins thought that was the funniest thing they had ever seen. It must have been their coping mechanism or something. Kinda weird. Anyways, Andy finally came out and he could see how much pain I was in and said he was taking me to the hospital. We get to the hospital and they immediately took me up to labor and delivery. (I am 34 weeks prego) On the way up as I am riding in the wheelchair I threw up all over myself like a little kid. Embarrassing I know! They admitted me and sure enough they found 6 stones in my left side. They then tried to start a couple different IV's but my veins kept blowing because I was dehydrated. By this point my pain was so severe I couldn't even function. On a scale of 1-10 I rated it a 10. They finally got the IV going and soon after gave me some meds. Not long after that the doctor ordered a morphine pump. Whew! That took the horrific pain away but I could still feel it for sure. In the meantime Andy is trying to contain the kids in the hospital room. My parents soon came and picked up the kids for us. Thank goodness for them and helping me! That night the pain was a lot better. They kept me until the next afternoon for pain management and as well all the pain I was in was causing contractions. The stones were also blocking my ureters so they were contemplating surgery. I am very blessed I didn't have to go through that being prego and all. I have now passed one that I know of is all. Hopefully I am done with the horrible pain. I have been staying at my Mom and Dad's house waiting to see if any more pass so they can help me with the kids. Andy had to go back to Bear Lake to work for Raspberry Days weekend. All in all I actually feel very blessed. I was fortunate I was actually out of the canyon when all the pain started. I was also lucky Andy was with me. Not sure what I would have done if it was just me and the kids. Someone was for sure watching over us. My poor sister gets stones every time she is pregnant. I now know how bad they are and what she goes through. Hopefully the worst is behind me and I can focus on having a healthy baby girl!
